Meet The Face Behind The Financial Vault

I’m Char Weightman, the proud owner of The Financial Vault.

I look forward to sharing my story with you. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

My past...

I grew up in Warman, Saskatchewan and started my career as a bookkeeper. During my time as a bookkeeper, I took courses to enhance my financial skills. I then started working for a well known bank where I was able to continue developing my skills to eventually become a financial advisor.

My present...

I made the decision to move away from the banking industry and become a self-employed mortgage professional with the goal of helping as many clients as possible make their dreams come true. This profession is the best fit for me and I have now been in the industry for over 5 years. I continue to assist more and more people reach their goals and offer more products to my clients.

Whether my clients can purchase a home right away or need assistance in getting prepared to purchase one, I am there for them each step of the way. This is one of the reasons why I created "The Financial Vault", a place where clients can learn about all of their financial options in one place, and where they can find one trusted advisor for mortgage, insurance and investment options. I also provide up-to-date financial coaching to assist clients restructure debt, build credit or partnerships for debt consolidation as well as several other services.

I am available twenty-four-hours, seven days a week and I am always available to answer phone calls, texts and to take appointments. If I am awake, you will surely get an answer.

In addition, I am responsible for pre-approving clients to enable them to purchase a home, whether it’s a first home, a second or a third. Once the offer is accepted, I work with clients through every step of the purchasing process.  I continue to work with my clients throughout the lifetime of their mortgage to ensure refinancing or mortgage transfers are attainable or to assist them in qualifying for another mortgage at any given time.

If my clients are not in a position to buy, I work with them to attain the proper financial position to allow them to purchase in the future. In a nutshell, I offer a one-stop shop for mortgages, insurance, and investments.

What challenges me on a daily basis?

Deciding which provider to utilize to ensure my clients finances are working for them is the most challenging task I face on a daily basis. My communication skills, commitment to client satisfaction, and creativity help me provide superior service to all my clients.

Work life balance...

When I am not working, I play ball hockey, travel and explore different places around the world. I love to spend time with friends and family. I also spend time with and play with my fur babies, my dog and cat.

A last note...

I love my career and wouldn't want to be doing anything else. While the most rewarding part of my career is when my clients get keys to their new home, the most satisfying moment was choosing to become a mortgage professional.
